Why I'm ready to represent Sunbury

Growing up in Melbourne's outer Western suburbs and now a Sunbury local, I have lived my whole life where the city meets the country. A love of science and nature led me to a career in agriculture where I've learned the complexities of life on the land and challenges faced by farmers.

Our community is under more pressure than ever, with many struggling to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. As a solo Mum I have lived experience of hardship, and a deep understanding of the issues caused by inequality and inadequate community services. I care about our community and I want to help make a difference.

I am passionate for fairness and equity, for standing up for what is right, and I will work hard to make Hume a better place for everyone now and into the future.

Empathy

I care about our community, our people and our environment .

I am a humanitarian and care deeply for others. Always wanting to help, I am a dedicated public servant and active volunteer at my children's school. I believe that we should engage with compassion and empathy in everything we do, and leaders should work to make lives better and cause no harm.

I believe that everyone deserves dignity, respect and to be treated fairly.

Many people face challenges that make their lives more difficult. Whether it's living with a disability or chronic illness, caring for family members or enduring ongoing economic hardship, everyone deserves a fair go. I have fought for fair treatment for people experiencing homelessness, for children in state care, and for people struggling below the poverty line. In this cost-of-living crisis, I will fight to strengthen community supports for our community.

Fairness

Determination

I believe that even the most complex problems can be solved.

My curiosity for how things work led me to study science, developing my ability to find facts, work through problems and explore logical solutions. Tackling big problems will take hard work and perseverance. As someone who has run three half-marathons, I am not scared of taking on a challenge. I know that I am ready to put in the work to deliver the best for our community.
